2009: Year Of The Ox

“Legend has it that in ancient times, Buddha asked all the animals to meet him on Chinese New Year. Twelve came, and Buddha named a year after each one. He announced that the people born in each animal’s year would have some of that animal’s personality. Those born in ox years tend to be painters, engineers, and architects. They are stable, fearless, obstinate, hard-working and friendly.” – infoplease.com

I am fortunate to have Lucy as a dear friend for nearly thirty years and especially lucky to have enjoyed her wonderful chinese cooking for just about as long. Her “signed” cookbook, that I cherish and always refer to, graces my huge collection of cookbooks -it is the best. Thank you Melisa for sharing these delicious and easy receipes on-line. Happy Chinese New Year to you and your family.
